ポスグラ申請の新しいルールは2024年11月1日以降に適用

2024年9月18日、IRCC（カナダ移民省）より新たな発表がありました。
※後半に追記情報がありますので、最後までお読みください※

2024年1月に発表されたルール変更もまだ記憶に新しいところに、カナダのカレッジ生にとっては重要となる新ポスグラ申請ルールが加わりました。

●2024年9月18日の発表内容について

今回の発表事項は大きく６つありますが、特に弊社の生徒様に関係のあるポイントのみここではお知らせ致します。

2024年11月1日以降にポスグラを申請する学生ビザ（Study Permit）※を申請する申請者に適用されます。

●2024年10月2日追記：PGWP政策変更時期について

各カレッジより＜PGWP政策変更時期＞について続々と情報が届いております。

情報を総合すると、この新PGWP申請ルールが適用される対象者は、2024年11月1日以降に学生ビザ（Study Permit）を申請した学生との事。

※但し、語学力証明については、学生ビザの申請時期は関係なく、今後のPGWP申請者には適用されるとの事（2024年10月4日追記）。

すでにカレッジに合格していて学生ビザ申請に進める方は出来るだけ早く申請される事をお勧めします。

Bow Valley Collegeより(2024年9月27日）

November 1st is a very important date for your prospective students. In order to be exempt from the new “programs related to labor market shortages” PGWP requirement, students must have their study permit application submitted to IRCC before November 1, 2024. The students will be exempt when they graduate from this new requirement. Our Admissions team has new processes in place and are now rapidly processing complete submitted applications.

The program changes, which become effective on November 1, 2024, include aligning Post Graduate Work Permit (PGWP) program requirements with labour market needs, and the requirement for students to submit proof of language proficiency as part of the PGWP application. With the changes it is essential to keep the following timelines top of mind:

• Students scheduled to start studies in January 2025 should submit their visa application to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada before November 1, 2024.

• Visa applications submitted as of November 1, 2024, will be subject to new processing standards which may impact Post Graduate Work Permit eligibility after graduation.

IRCCは2024年11月以前のStudy Permit申請者に対しては現在のPGWPルールが適用されると発表しました。
Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) recently confirmed that if you apply for a study permit before November 1, 2024, you can still apply for a PGWP under the current policy upon completion of your program. We strongly recommend that you apply early to safeguard your options!

Seneca Collegeより(2024年10月4日）

Students who applied, or will apply, for a study permit before Friday, Nov. 1, 2024, will be eligible for a PGWP if they meet the minimum language proficiency for college graduates, which is Canadian Language Benchmark 5 (CLB5)

IRCC(カナダ移民省)ウェブサイトにて、PGWP申請可能なプログラムカテゴリーと業種が発表されました。

カテゴリーは大まかに6つに分類されています。

early childhood education や developmental service workers などの専攻分野も対象となりました。
